Google’s artificial intelligence assistant Gemini improves music experience with Spotify integration

Google aims to offer a richer music experience to its users by integrating its Gemini artificial intelligence assistant with Spotify. Thanks to this integration, users will be able to search and play music via Spotify using natural language. This feature, which was first detected in the codes of the Google application in June, is now available on compatible Android devices.

Gemini; It can find and play music based on criteria such as song name, artist, album or playlist. In addition, appropriate music can be selected for certain activities. However, advanced features such as creating playlists or radio stations on Spotify via Gemini are not currently supported. If you have previously integrated another music service such as YouTube Music with Gemini, you need to specify which service you prefer when using it for the first time; then the assistant defaults to the last used service

To use this feature, you must first connect your Spotify and Google accounts. Additionally, you must enable the Gemini Apps Activity feature. This feature can store your artificial intelligence queries for 72 hours. However, the Spotify extension is not currently available through Google Messages, the Gemini web app, or the Gemini app for iOS. Also, Gemini’s language initially only works when set to English.

Spotify stands out as the second non-Google application to receive Gemini support, after WhatsApp. This integration marks a period in which digital assistants are more deeply integrated into our daily lives. This step by Google is considered an important step for users to benefit from artificial intelligence-supported services more effectively.

Google’s efforts to integrate AI solutions into third-party platforms aim to enrich the user experience. This integration with Spotify takes music listening habits to a smarter and more personalized level. Users will be able to easily find and listen to the music they want with voice commands.

More integrations are on the agenda for Google Gemini

This development once again reveals the importance of expanding the capabilities of artificial intelligence-supported assistants and integrating them with different platforms. Google’s steps in this direction signal that more applications and services may be integrated with Gemini in the future. User adaptation to such innovations and their feedback will play a critical role in the success of these integrations.
