Google will introduce Android 16 innovations on May 13

Google adopts a different approach this year for the Android operating system. The company will organize a special event a week before the traditional Google I/O developer conference, at 20.00 on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 20.00, the Android Show: I/O Edition. The event will be published on the official website of Youtube and Android and presented by Sameer Samat, Head of Android ecosystem.

This step is compatible with Google’s reducing the time allocated to Android in I/O conferences in recent years and more include artificial intelligence (AI) -oriented announcements. However, this year, a special event for Android is remarkable in terms of emphasizing the importance of the platform. The event is expected to elaborate the prominent features of Android 16 and to introduce innovations for the ecosystem.
