Google Keep Tests the search feature in mobile mobile

Although Google Keep has been known for its simplicity for years, it continues to be a remarkable application with its shortcomings in the main functions. This note -taking tool, which is frequently preferred by Android users, allows many people to quickly save their daily notes. However, the fact that the application still does not offer some basic functions stands out as an important problem that restricts the user experience.

One of the most criticized deficiencies was the inability to search directly in the content of the notes in mobile application. Users can only perform a general search between all notes, but it was not possible to find a specific word within a note. In the web version, this gap can be partially filled through the browser. However, the lack of this possibility on mobile creates a serious disadvantage, especially for those who work with long notes.

Google Keep will support the search for notes on mobile

Android Authority’s technical analysis has shown that the Google Keep application tested a new feature. In the 5.25.282.00.90 version of the application, the “Find in Notes” option is confidential. This feature is designed to access through the three -point menu in the upper right corner. But for now, the function is not active and causes the application to collapse when it is run.

While the lack of this function has been discussed for years, it is noteworthy that Google is taking a step in this field at the end. This function will provide a serious convenience, especially for employees with academic notes, meeting records or long -to -do lists. In spite of everything, the fact that the feature is in the test phase and error shows that it can take some more time for him to reach the end user. It is currently unknown when the development will be completed.

Google Keep’s general structure is quite simple. While this simplicity is considered an advantage for some users, it can become restrictive for those who are accustomed to more comprehensive notes. For example, visuals can be added to the notes, but these visuals can only be attached to the text, not between text. However, the lack of folding titles stands out as another deficiency that makes content management difficult.

Google has recently made a number of design updates to improve Keep’s appearance. Material 3 Expressive design was integrated into both the Android app and the Wear OS version. The floating process button was rearranged and the home screen widgets were made more functional. Visual innovations positively affect the user experience.

In addition to all these, Keep still lacks some basic security and regulation features. For example, there is no simple function to protect personal data, such as putting passwords on notes. This deficiency can directly direct users to alternative applications. Apple’s advanced functions such as Markdown Expression offered in the notes application, Keep still does not have any equivalent.
