Google is testing a new search method for Gemini

A new feature developed for Google Gemini has been revealed unintentionally. In a promotional video shared by the company’s Instagram account, a new option called “Circle Screen (DF) ında was seen in the user interface. This option is not included in existing Google applications. At the end of the name of the feature, the phrase “DF olarak did not escape the eyes of careful viewers.

In the world of technology, DF is often used as a “dogfood” abbreviation. This statement is preferred for the versions they tested with their own teams before they are introduced to the general use of companies. Therefore, this feature is thought to be only a test version that only Google employees can access. The video seems to be prepared with this internal version.

Google can offer a different Circle to Search Review within Google Gemini

The Circle To Search feature, which is familiar with Android users, is currently actively used on many devices. This function is integrated with Google search and allows users to search by taking an object on the screen into a circle. The new feature of Gemini is considered as an artificial intelligence -supported variation of this function. The difference is that the motor used in the interpretation of the context is based on Gemini.

Gemini was analyzing the image of the entire screen with the previously introduced “Ask a Question About the Screen” feature. The new Circle Screen feature can make this approach more targeted and user -controlled. The user can only select the field that attracts the interest and can make a contextual guidance to Gemini. This may open the door to more accurate results, especially on intense screens.

In addition, Google is known to have a history of presenting similar functions on multiple platforms separately. The similarity of Circle To Search and Circle Screen functions can also cause a future merger. However, the possibility that both features can appeal to different user scenarios should not be ignored. A search interface supported by Gemini’s artificial intelligence capabilities can make the search experience more personally.

However, it is obvious that Circle Screen is currently only in the testing phase and whether it is available for general use. Google has not made an official statement about this function. The feature is not included in the existing Google application versions and can only be tested in internal versions. Therefore, it is not yet certain that this function will reach all Android users in the near term.

However, it is seen that the company continues its artificial intelligence investments without slowing down. As Gemini starts to coating more in the Android ecosystem, it will not be surprising that such micro functions are integrated into the system. The more visual, more intuitive of users interaction with the screen becomes a parallel development of Google’s product development philosophy. Circle Screen seems to be an experimental but potential initiative in this respect.

In addition, Circle Screen can be said to be one of the first examples that combine artificial intelligence and visual context, considering Gemini’s current capabilities. Google is trying to make Gemini a more effective helper by developing solutions for mobile users’ habits. Managing the search experience over the screen can offer a new way of control beyond voice or written commands. This can position Gemini as an interactive interface, not only an assistant.
