Google has started integrating the Circle to Search feature into the Gemini interface

Google continues its efforts to improve the artificial intelligence-supported search experience without slowing down. The company’s feature, called “Circle to Search” (CtS), which allows easy selection and search of content visible on the screen, is now integrated into the Gemini interface. This new integration makes it possible to interact with on-screen content in a more intuitive way.

Until now, Circle to Search stood out for offering similar functions to Google Lens. Thanks to CtS, users could directly initiate a Google search by circling the texts, objects or images on the screen without leaving any application. On the other hand, Google Lens has the capacity to provide information by analyzing both camera images and screenshots. Video analysis capabilities in Gemini Live mode offer a combination of these two features; The new development brings this experience to the Gemini interface.

New integration makes Circle to Search experience more accessible

In leaks that appeared in May, it was seen that Google was planning to combine CtS capabilities directly with the Gemini interface. Now it has been confirmed that this integration has become active for some users. According to the information shared by X (formerly Twitter) user HHUUEELL, it has become possible to access the CtS function on the Samsung device via the Gemini interface. This development, which was also confirmed by Android Authority, seems to have entered the testing phase with a limited user base.

Thanks to this integration, users can hover the Gemini interface on the screen, circle the content they are interested in, and then access detailed information by entering a text-based search query. Although this feature does not include real-time image analysis with the camera, it makes it easier to interact with on-screen content quickly and effectively.

Additionally, the current Gemini Live mode offers more advanced analysis options compared to CtS. For example, this mode, which provides object recognition and instant analysis through the camera image, also includes many features already offered by Google Lens. Although the new integration does not include these advanced video analysis capabilities, it increases the functionality of the Gemini interface.

This innovation is not yet widely available. Android Authority editors state that they have not yet been able to access this feature on both Pixel 8 and OnePlus 12R devices. This shows that the feature is being rolled out gradually. It is known that Google has previously given hints about this integration at public events; Therefore, the feature is expected to reach more devices in a short time.
