Google Gemini comes to screen sharing and interaction features with video

Google Gemini announced new features to make the artificial intelligence assistant more interactive. Users will now be able to ask Gemini questions not only with text or voice commands, but also through screen sharing and video. The company introduced these new features at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona.

With the new updates, Gemini will now be able to analyze the contents the user sees on the screen and give instant information about these content. On the other hand, thanks to the ability to ask instant questions through the video, users will be able to directly consult with artificial intelligence during the videos they take. Google says that these innovations will make Gemini’s artificial intelligence skills more practical and integrated into everyday life.

One of the most remarkable innovations that Google introduced was the screen -sharing feature called “Screenshare .. Thanks to this function, users will be able to ask questions by sharing an application or website that is open on their phones directly with Gemini. For example, a user will be able to find out what other products to buy by showing Gemini to Gemini when shopping online.

In an example that Google shared in the presentation, it was seen that a user wanted to buy plenty of jeans and asked Gemini about clothes that would fit the best with this pants. This feature can help users receive quick and effective feedback in fashion, shopping, content discovery and information processing processes.

Google has also announced the real -time interaction feature through video. First, this innovation, which has a hint at the Google I/O 2024 event, allows users to ask questions to Gemini during the videos they shoot.

With this feature, for example, a user may receive information about the place when shooting a video of a restaurant, or ask for suggestions about the materials when shooting a recipe. Likewise, when recording video during a repair process, he can get help from artificial intelligence to how he can do it more efficiently.

Google says that this technology will better analyze the visual and auditory data of Gemini. Unlike text -based artificial intelligence conversations, visual -supported artificial intelligence technologies aim to expand their usage areas in daily life.

Google will first present new features to Gemini Advanced users.

Google has announced that the screen sharing and asking questions will be presented to Gemini Advanced users with Google One AI Premium subscription as of March 2025. These features, which can be used on devices with Android operating system, are expected to expand to iOS and other platforms in the future.
