Galaxy S27 may arrive in January, memory decision may affect calendar

Samsung may be aiming to introduce the Galaxy S27 series by January 2027. According to the new leak, the company is making preparations that may shift the calendar to February at the latest. However, memory and storage preferences for the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra have not been finalized yet. Therefore, the information revealed does not describe an event date announced by Samsung, but a production plan that may change.

According to the information provided by Android Authority, Lanzuk, who posts on Naver under the username yeux1122, shows January as the current target. Covering the same post, 9to5Google points out that the hardware decisions on the Pro and Ultra models have not been finalized yet. Both reports are based on the same leak, so they should not be considered as two independent confirmations.

Allegedly, the key components of the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ models have been largely determined. Samsung is now moving into the planning phase of its production schedule. On the other hand, evaluations continue regarding which memory options will be used in higher-end models and to what extent. This distinction is important because the selection of parts in one part of the series does not mean that all models are ready for production.

If the January target is achieved, Samsung will act earlier than this year’s calendar. The company introduced the Galaxy S26 family on February 25, 2026. However, no specific day is currently shared for S27. It is also necessary to distinguish between the promotional event and the date when the phones will reach the stores.

Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra’s memory preference may affect calendar

At the center of the new claims are LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage. It is said that Samsung is considering using these two technologies in the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra, but increasing memory costs make the decision difficult. The debate here is not just about RAM or storage capacity. The generation of chips to be used and which options the new standards will be applied to may also affect the final configuration.

On the other hand, in the RAM and storage leak that appeared in September, the name UFS 5.1 was mentioned for Pro and Ultra. In the latest news, UFS 5.0 is mentioned. Since Samsung hasn’t confirmed these details yet, it wouldn’t be right to combine the two different standards into a finalized feature list. Previous capacity claims have not become official thanks to this new sharing.

Cost pressure also leaves open the question of how the transition to newer memory technologies will be reflected in sales prices. However, it is not possible to derive an exact increase rate or price in Türkiye from the current leak. Likewise, it is too early to tell how much speed increase will be achieved in daily use just by looking at the standard names.

The period to watch for the Galaxy S27 family for now is the first two months of 2027. Which models will use new memory technologies, on which day the promotion will be held and when sales will start in Türkiye will become clear with Samsung’s official announcement.
