Samsung is preparing to offer remarkable hardware and software innovations with the new Galaxy S25 series. The RAM increase, especially in the basic model, aims to make a significant difference in the user experience. This new model is expected to stand out with its powerful performance by offering higher efficiency in multitasking.
Galaxy S25 base model will have 12GB RAM
The basic model offered by Samsung within the S25 series was listed with 12 GB RAM in the Geekbench database. Designed for the South Korean market, the device with model number SM-S931N displays a 50% increase compared to the 8GB RAM capacity of the previous model, Galaxy S24. This increase provides a significant advantage for users who run multiple applications simultaneously. However, it is stated that the Galaxy S25+ model will also come with 12 GB RAM, while the S25 Ultra, the top model of the series, will offer 12GB and 16 GB RAM options.
Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the base S25 model showed impressive results in performance tests. It scores 2,480 points in single-core performance and 8,658 points in multi-core performance, offering 15% and 30% higher speeds, respectively, compared to the previous model. These improvements ensure a faster and more stable performance of the device in both daily use and processing-intensive tasks.
The use of Snapdragon instead of Exynos will expand
Initially, the Galaxy S25 series was expected to launch with the Exynos 2500 processor in some regions. However, due to the low production efficiency of the Exynos 2500 chip, Samsung has reportedly decided to use only the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor in all series models. This strategy is considered a reflection of the company’s goal of providing a more consistent performance in the global market.
The Galaxy S25 series will come with the One UI 7.0 interface based on Android 15. In this way, it is stated that users will have a more fluid and customizable experience on the software side. In particular, improvements such as RAM increase and processor performance can make Samsung’s new devices a strong option in the upper segment.
These innovations on the hardware and software side of the Galaxy S25 series are expected to make users’ daily usage experiences more efficient. It is estimated that the official introduction of the new models will be made in the coming months, probably in January.
