There may be only a month left until the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. It is claimed that the device, which is expected to be released in January, will be available to users with an important innovation such as Qi2 support.
According to information provided by reliable leak source Ice Universe, the Galaxy S25 series will support Qi2 wireless charging technology. Qi2 is based on Apple’s MagSafe standard and offers magnetic alignment for supporting devices and accessories. First announced two years ago, Qi2 technology has rarely been adopted by brands other than Apple so far.
Samsung has not used Qi2 technology in the smartphones it has released to date. However, it is known that the device called Galaxy Ring supports this standard. Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra models are expected to be among the first Samsung smartphones to support Qi2. However, it is stated that Qi2 wireless charging support will be limited to 15W.
Qi2 technology supports various accessories with magnetic alignment feature. In this way, magnetic cases, covers, pop grips or wallets compatible with the Galaxy S25 series can be used. However, since magnetic alignment is an optional feature in the Qi2 standard, it is not clear whether Samsung will offer this support. If support is not offered, magnetic accessory options may be limited.

Samsung Galaxy S25 will come with 25W fast charging support
Galaxy S25 will have 25W fast charging support. It is stated that the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra models will offer 45W fast charging support with the USB PD PPS standard. However, there will be no charger in the box of any model. In addition, all devices in the series will support the Wireless PowerShare feature.
