The processor discussions on the Galaxy S25 Fe model have been busy for weeks, while the device appeared in the comparison test. Benchmark data shows that the device includes the Exynos 2400E processor, not Snapdragon. This processor was also used in the Galaxy S24 Fe last year. Contrary to expectations, Samsung may not go to innovation on the hardware side of this model.
For users waiting for Snapdragon chip, this development is not very heartwarming. Particularly considering the performance advantage of Qualcomm’s flagship chip Snapdragon 8 Elite, Galaxy S25 Fe’s hardware preference is questionable. The device is also specified with 8 GB of RAM. In other words, there was no change in RAM capacity compared to the previous FE model.
It is understood that Samsung continues to choose Exynos at Galaxy S25 Fe
Samsung, the S series of the Fe models of the original S series in parallel with the processors in the original S series. However, with the S23 Fe, the old generation Exynos and Snapdragon chips were used. This preference was thought to be a temporary situation. However, taking similar steps in the new model shows that the company follows a different policy in the Fe series.
The benchmark test of the Galaxy S25 FE is that the device is equipped with Exynos 2400E, while the chip is the Galaxy S24 and S24+ models used in the Exynos 2400 with a slightly lower clock speed. Although it is not yet known how much this difference will be felt in daily use, limited improvements are expected on the performance side. In addition, the fact that the device will be released on the software side with a more current version may not be enough to compensate for the stasis in the hardware.
It is noteworthy that Samsung leaves this model limited to Exynos at a time when Qualcomm’s new generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chip moves up with Elite chip. The increasing production costs of Snapdragon may be decisive in this preference. The fact that the Galaxy S24 FE was offered for sale with Exynos even in the US market last year shows that this tendency continues. So waiting for the Snapdragon variant for the Galaxy S25 Fe does not seem realistic at this stage.
Samsung’s hardware choice may have been disappointed in a segment. But a different way is being followed on the software side. The Galaxy S25 Fe will be out of the box with a more current Android version than other members of the series. Thus, although the support time remains the same, the last major update of the device will be Android 23.
The Galaxy S25 FE has not yet been announced when it will be sold in Türkiye. However, considering the promotional calendar in the past years, the last quarter of 2025 is considered a possible time period. Although there is no official information about pricing, it is estimated that the device can be offered for sale between approximately 32,000 TL and TL 36,000 according to the existing exchange rate and tax rates.
Information on other technical details such as design, camera and battery capacity has not yet leaked. However, Benchmark results clearly demonstrate the basic performance framework of the device. This frame may be limiting for a high performance mass. Considering the general audience of the Fe series, this preference can be explained by the price balance.
Although Samsung’s Fe models are offered at more accessible prices than the main flagship series, this causes processor performance to be compromised. The current software experience and long support time offered by the device may not meet the lack of performance alone. In addition, the fact that there is no alternative to Snapdragon processor reduces the options of users who will prefer the device.
The Galaxy S25 Fe, which draws an unpretentious picture on the performance side, will appear with more current versions on the software side. However, the fact that the Exynos 2400E chip is the same as the previous model reveals that the model is a technical sequel. Although Samsung’s approach is acceptable for users who focus more on price/performance balance, they will not satisfy users who prefer Snapdragon.
