Samsung launched the Galaxy A55 in March this year. However, the company is currently working on its successor, the Galaxy A56. According to recent reports, the phone has been spotted on the IMEI database with the model name “Galaxy A56 5G’” and the model number SM-A566B/DS. This indicates that the device is under development.
The Galaxy A56 is expected to come with the new Exynos 1580 chipset. According to information received from the Samsung community, this chipset has a powerful architecture with Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores. It is equipped with the advanced Xclipse 540 GPU for graphics processing. It is also stated that the Exynos 1580 will have an upgraded NPU (Neural Processing Unit) and this unit will be able to manage the Galaxy AI features. It is even said that this NPU will be able to compete with the flagship Exynos 2100 chipset in this area. However, it will be necessary to see real-world performance to make a final decision about the chipset’s overall capabilities.
This chipset was previously seen in Geekbench tests, and its single-core score was recorded as 1046 and its multi-core score as 3578. According to the Geekbench listing, the device on which the test was made is determined to be running Android 15. It is also stated that this chip will have a 1+3+4 core architecture. This means that it will be a performance-oriented upgrade over the 4+4 architecture of its predecessor, the Exynos 1480.
There is not much information about the Galaxy A56 yet
Although there is not much information about the other features of the Galaxy A56 yet, it is possible to make some predictions based on its predecessor, the Galaxy A55.
The Galaxy A55 comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display and supports 1000 nits brightness (HBM). HBM is a term that refers to the brightness of the phone under direct sunlight or extremely bright light. This model also comes with a guarantee of receiving major Android updates for four years.
Galaxy A55 has a 50MP + 12MP + 5MP camera setup on the back and a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The phone gives satisfactory results in terms of photo and video quality. The device, which has a 5000 mAh battery, offers 25W wired charging support.
The Galaxy A56 is expected to offer significant performance and technical improvements over the Galaxy A55. In particular, the Exynos 1580 chipset is expected to provide users with a faster and more efficient experience. However, it remains to be seen how well these expectations will match real-world performance until the device is released.
