Vivo’s Y39 model, which is expected to be released soon, passed the Geekbench performance test and took its place in Geekbench’s database. Vivo Y39 achieved a single-core score of 912 points and a multi-core score of 2214 points in Geekbench 6.3.0. These results clearly show that the device will not be a top-segment model.
It is stated that Y39 is supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. This chipset stands out as an option mostly used in entry and mid-segment devices. However, it is a remarkable feature that the phone offers 5G connection support. The tested prototype model had 8 GB RAM, but it is thought that different RAM options may be offered when it is released.
The device will come out of the box with Android 15 operating system. As an interesting detail, it is stated that Vivo Y39 may be launched in Brazil under the name “Jovi”. The reason for this is that Telefonica Brazil company has the naming rights on the “Vivo” brand.
Although the other technical features of Vivo Y39 are not yet known, the previous model of the series, Vivo Y38, was released in May with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. Y38 offered a 6.68-inch LCD screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP front camera and a 6000 mAh battery. Additionally, the device attracted attention with its 44W fast charging support.
Vivo Y39 will inherit some features from Y38
The new model is expected to inherit some features of the Y38. However, it is a matter of curiosity whether Vivo will make improvements in areas such as screen size, camera features or battery capacity in the Y39. The brand’s official statements and promotional event will answer these questions.
