Oppo will introduce its new smartphone Oppo A5 Pro in China on December 24. Its previous model, Oppo A3 Pro, attracted attention with its durability and was the first device to receive dust and water resistance certificates at IP69, IP68 and IP66 levels. A3 Pro, which gained an important place in the industry with this success, also stood out with its very durable structure against falls.
Oppo A3 Pro increased its drop resistance by 160 percent compared to standard glasses, thanks to its Crystal Shield glass technology. In addition, its full durability against drops and impacts was certified with the SGS Golden Five-Star certificate. Oppo A5 Pro is expected to take this legacy of durability one step further.
Oppo A5 Pro, which received TENAA certification in China, was listed with the model number PKP110, and the technical specifications of the device have also been largely revealed.
According to TENAA certification data, Oppo A5 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch flat OLED screen. This screen offers a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels and will probably come with 120 Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth support. A fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen will also be included on the device.
Oppo A5 Pro will be powered by an eight-core processor running at 2.5GHz. The device will be offered with 8 GB or 12 GB RAM options, as well as 256 GB and 512 GB storage capacities. However, Oppo A5 Pro does not have external storage support.
Looking at the camera features, there will be a 16 megapixel camera on the front of the device and a dual camera setup on the back. This setup will consist of a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor.
The battery capacity of the device will be 5840 mAh. However, no official information has been shared yet about fast charging support. The dimensions of the Oppo A5 Pro are listed as 161.5 x 74.85 x 7.67 mm and its weight is 186 grams.
Oppo’s new A5 Pro model is eagerly awaited by users as it further advances the durability features offered by the previous version. Following the Oppo A3 Pro, which made a name for itself with its IP certifications and shock resistance, the A5 Pro is expected to continue this tradition. Hardware details seen in the TENAA list show that the A5 Pro will be assertive not only in durability but also in performance.
