Samsung continues to update the processor every year in the middle -segment Galaxy A series. In this direction, at the beginning of 2025, the Galaxy A56 was introduced with Exynos 1580 chipset. Looking at the company’s processor cycle, it is now clear that a new Exynos chip is on the road for the next model Galaxy A57.
According to information, the new processor Exynos 1680, which is highly likely to be used in the Galaxy A57, will be. This chipset is referred to as the model number S5E8865 and the existing Exynos 1580 (S5E8855) is a direct successor. Looking at Samsung’s processor naming history, it is seen that this numbering is a logical continuation.
Exynos 1680, XClipse 550 GPU can move the performance bar up for the Galaxy A57
The new generation Exynos processor will come with Samsung’s own XClipse 550 GPU. The basis of this graphics unit is the current RDNA 3.5 architecture of AMD. The same architecture is available in the XClipse 950 GPU, which will be used in Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor. This similarity shows that there may be an important leap in the middle segment in terms of graphic power.
Although the clear data on the performance of this new graphic processor has not yet been shared, this innovation on the hardware side can move forward the game and multimedia experience of the Galaxy A57. At this point, details such as Samsung’s GPU will run this GPU or the speed of access to memory gain importance. However, the emergence of this technical data will probably take the end of 2025 or the first months of 2026.
The information about the Galaxy A57 so far focuses only on the processor side. There is no leak or official description of the other technical details of the phone. However, considering the innovations brought by the Galaxy A56, the A57 is expected to move on a similar line.
In the Galaxy A56, features such as not only the new processor, but also an improved front camera and 10-bit HDR video recording attracted attention. In addition, the device had a thinner design and provided 45W quick charging support. These details show that Samsung wants to offer a richer experience to the mid -segment user.
Looking at all these developments, the Galaxy A57 is likely to come with innovations that are not limited to the processor. The expectation of users on the camera side is increasing. In particular, Chinese manufacturers offer 2x and 3x optical zoom in the middle segment, which may require the Galaxy A57 to be equipped with a telephoto camera.
The battery capacity has become a matter of great importance for users. In existing models, a higher capacity of 6,000 mAh can be preferred in the Galaxy A57, while the existing models have become standard. In addition, developments in video recording features are among the expectations; 4K 60FPS registration capability is one of them.
