Meta is testing two features for its newest social platform, Threads. Adam Mosseri, Instagram’s top manager, pointed out that the innovations that have started testing are among the features most frequently requested by users.
One of these experimental features is the ability to save drafts. Users will be able to easily save a post they have written as a draft and then edit and publish it by swiping down on their mobile devices. When there is a draft saved, the app menu at the bottom of the screen highlights the broadcast icon. While only a single draft can currently be registered, it remains unclear whether this number will be increased.
Alongside the sketches, Meta is also testing the in-app camera. Thanks to this feature, it will be possible to open the phone camera from within the application and it will be easier for users to share photos or videos. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared a photo on Threads, stating that it was taken with the in-app camera.
Meta said these are initial tests for experimental features, meaning they may undergo many changes before a wide release and will only be available to a small number of people.

Meta had also begun testing a bookmarking feature for its new social network that would allow users to save posts that they could refer to later. The company continues to test the trending topics feature, as well as the ability to cross-post between Threads and Facebook. It will not be a surprise if the test list extends in the coming period.
