DJI officially announced the Mavic 4 Pro model in order to maintain its claim in the consumer class drone market. As the most talented model of the Mavic series developed so far, the device includes important innovations in terms of both hardware and software. The 360 -degree rotating Gimbal system, a 100 -megapixel resolution camera and a single charging flight time is one of the most remarkable features of the drone. The device is especially designed for professional cinematographers, documentary producers and users who produce high quality content.
The new model has been offered for sale in all markets where DJI operates, including Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia. However, the United States was not included in the launch of Mavic 4 Pro. As a reason for this decision, DJI shows the unresolved logistics barriers with the US customs authorities and the import taxes that are still in force. In particular, last year’s US Customs and Border Protection Unit, some DJI products limited the entry of the country to the company’s strategy for the US market.
Although the DJI has received DRONE’s FCC approval and other necessary certificates, the US launch under the current conditions is not within the plan. On the other hand, the company states that it will re -evaluate the situation according to future developments. While users living outside the USA can easily access the product, it is clearly emphasized by the DJI that if US citizens go to purchase from different countries, they will remain out of the scope of warranty. Therefore, it is reported that care should be careful in international purchases.
The new model leaves its predecessors with its camera technology and flight time
Mavic 4 Pro’s most basic innovation stands out as large -scale hardware changes in the imaging system. In addition to the main camera with 100 Megapixel resolution, the device comes with a triple camera sequence. In this structure, each camera has 4K 120FPS shooting support. Thanks to the advanced gimbal system, not only horizontal, but also vertical and inclined shooting becomes possible. Thus, both cinematic videos and social media content can be produced more flexible.

The new battery design is one of the important elements that carry the performance of the device. The 95 when battery provides a 51 -minute flight time for a single charge and gives the user a wider maneuvering area. This period is recorded as one of the longest time among the consumer class drones developed by DJI to date. In addition, the flight speed of the device has been increased by 20 percent compared to its predecessor Mavic 3 Pro. Mavic 4 Pro can reach speeds of up to 90 kilometers per hour.
The flight range of the device has been increased to approximately 30 kilometers. In this way, it can cover a distance of approximately 41 kilometers with a single charge. Although this distance is theoretically possible, so long distances may not always be accessible due to legal limitations and local regulations. However, thanks to the developed transmission systems, significant improvement in connection quality has been achieved.
Other updates on the Mavic 4 Pro’s camera system aim to improve performance, especially in low light conditions. With a 168 mm focus distance, the caleter camera now has a 1/1.5 -inch and 50 megapixel sensor. This means a significant increase compared to its predecessor’s 12 Megapixel camera. Thanks to the f/2.8 aperture opening, the camera can collect more light, offers higher accuracy in the details.
Drone’s flight safety and object detection systems have also been remarkable improvements. The DJI states that the device can detect obstacles rapidly at 18 meters/second, even under low light conditions. This feature is considered as an important development compared to the 12 -meter/second limit of Mavic 3 Pro. However, thanks to the device’s Lidar -based direction finding system, it has become possible for the GPS to return home without a signal.
DJI introduced a new remote control with Mavic 4 Pro. This control, named DJI RC Pro 2, has a 7 -inch rotating screen. When the screen is folded, the Joysticks of the commander automatically sit down, which makes it easy for portability. With 128 GB internal memory, the control also offers HDMI output. The European price of RC Pro 2 is 999 euros; This corresponds to approximately 38,700 TL with today’s exchange rate.

The drone’s pricing is as remarkable as hardware features. The starting price in Canada is 2.049 CAD, the European price is 2.099 euros and the UK price is £ 1,879. The Creator Combo Package is available in Canada at a very high price of 3,459 CAD.
Mavic 4 Pro seems to be an important model not only technically, but also for DJI in terms of strategically. The company’s approach to the US market makes differences in the global distribution of the product. However, in spite of everything, this model is expected to attract great attention by professional users. We will see if DJI will review the US market plans in the coming months.
