Leaks about the new member of DJI’s compact stabilizer camera Osmo Pocket series are starting to become clear. The latest images shared by reliable leaker Igor Bogdanov reveal the existence of two different models that have not yet been introduced, and indicate that one of them may be a dual-lens Pro version. While the company is expected to announce the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 model on April 16, it remains unclear whether the Pro version will be introduced at the same event.
In the shared images, two different versions of the handheld stabilizer camera are seen. While one of them continues the current design line, it is noteworthy that the other model has more advanced equipment. According to leaks, this high-end model may combine an ultra-wide-angle lens with a telephoto lens that offers optical zoom. Such a structure means more flexible shooting options, especially for mobile content producers. However, details about the technical features of the Pro model are not yet clear.
Innovations expected in the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 model
Bogdanov’s posts are not limited to the Pro version only. Marketing images stated to belong to the standard Osmo Pocket 4 model also reveal the design of the device from different angles. These images also include package options that include accessories such as a mini tripod, carrying case and clip-on light. Offering such accessories in the box can reduce the need for additional equipment, especially for content producers.
On the hardware side, there are some notable improvements. According to leaks, the internal storage capacity of the device can be increased to 107 GB. In addition, slow motion video recording at 4K resolution is expected to increase up to 240 fps. On the other hand, it is stated that improvements can be made in issue tracking performance. Such software and hardware updates can contribute to more stable and clear images, especially in moving scenes.
On the pricing side, there is a situation that may surprise users. Allegedly, the Osmo Pocket 4 Standard Combo package can be offered for sale at 499 euros, lower than the starting price of the previous model. This corresponds to around $589. Considering that the previous model started at 539 euros, it is noteworthy that the new model comes with a more accessible price policy.
It is not yet clear when the Pro model will be introduced. Current rumors indicate that this version may be announced later than the standard model, possibly in May or June. Whether features such as dual-lens structure and optical zoom are real will become clear with the official announcement. What kind of product positioning DJI will use in this series will be decisive, especially in terms of content creators’ expectations.
