BNSL Launches a New Plan of Rs. 299 | Here’s How it Compares to Vodafone & Airtel

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has lately introduced a new post-paid plan offer to take on the fierce competition from Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone. It offers an Rs. 299 BSNL plan to its customers with a fantastic amount of data and SMS allowances. It provides benefits like 100 SMS per day, 31GB data and FUP and unlimited voice calling. Now this will take on the Jio plan of Rs. 199 and the Airtel and Vodafone’s post-paid plans of Rs. 299. The new 299 BSNL plan has a new add-on package that was mentioned by the company last month. They have assured additional high-speed data even if their monthly limits end.

The new (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) BSNL post-paid plan of Rs. 299 plans are only for new customers. It does not apply to the existing customers. This is a monthly plan that gives away 31GB data, 100 SMS every day, unlimited voice calls in service areas supported by BSNL to any network. Thus, this does not include Delhi and Mumbai circles. Post completion of the data FUP, the internet speed will come down to 80Kbps. The reports at Telecom Talk mention that the GST charges are not included in Rs. 299 for the plan. Thus, they will have to pay over and above it. Also, the new BSNL 299 post-paid plan does not allow users to carry forward the left-over data of the last billing cycle in the next period.

BSNL Plan Vs Jio Plan

As seen above, the new monthly plan will stand tough against Rs. 199 Jio post-paid plan. The Jio plan gives its customers a total of 25GB 4G data. It also includes unlimited free voice calls, 100 SMS messages every day, and access to Jio’s entire group of applications. The Users can get additional data for the next 500GB at Rs. 20 per GB. Users need to give a security deposit of Rs. 250 but is 100% refundable. They also need to hold the Jio Prime membership costing Rs. 99.

BSNL Plan Vs Vodafone and Airtel Plan

Comparing the Rs. 299 Vodafone Red Basic post-paid plans, it gives unlimited free voice calling, 20GB data, free subscription to Vodafone Play for one year, free incoming and outgoing on roaming, and 100 SMS every day. It gives data rollover benefit up to 50GB in this plan. Moreover, Airtel’s Rs. 399 post-paid plan offers 20GB 3G/ 4G internet data every month. Users get a rollover support up to 200GB. The plan further provides unlimited calls and 100 SMS messages per day for the complete billing cycle.
