Bang & Olufsen added a new option to its wireless headset series and introduced the Beoplay Eleven model to users. This model stands out as the brand’s first wireless headset with a replaceable battery. Designed to comply with the European Union’s sustainability regulations that will come into force in 2027, Beoplay Eleven displays an environmentally friendly approach. With its IP57 certification, the headset is resistant to water and dust up to a depth of one meter.
Beoplay Eleven’s battery cannot be replaced directly by the user. The intervention of authorized services is required for battery replacement. This situation draws attention as an application similar to the battery service offered by Apple in AirPods models. Users will need to send their headphones to the service for battery replacement.
Beoplay Eleven is equipped with six updated microphones to improve voice call quality and active noise cancellation (ANC) performance. Microphone inputs are designed wider than standard sizes to optimize sound reception. The headset can reduce low-frequency noise twice as effectively as previous models. Additionally, designed to adapt to different ear shapes and sizes, Beoplay Eleven continues to use the 9.2 mm drivers in the Beoplay EX model.
How much should you pay for Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Eleven?
Beoplay Eleven is available in Bang & Olufsen’s stores and on its official website with a price tag of $499. In addition to the model with natural aluminum coating, a copper-toned version will also be available for the same price starting from December 17.
Offering similar performance to Beoplay EX in terms of battery life, Beoplay Eleven offers six hours of uninterrupted use with active noise canceling turned on and eight hours with it turned off. With the carrying case with USB-C or wireless Qi charging support, the total usage time can be up to 20 hours with ANC on and 28 hours with it off.
Bang & Olufsen aims to increase its competitiveness in the wireless headphone market by combining sustainability and user experience with Beoplay Eleven. It can easily be said that this model, which stands out with its replaceable battery and advanced active noise canceling features, is a reflection of the environmentally friendly product development policy.
