Apple Music and iCloud+ prices in Türkiye have increased significantly

Today, Apple increased Apple Music and iCloud+ subscription fees in many countries, including Türkiye. Apple Music student package in Türkiye 49.99 TLindividual package 89.99 TLif the family package 149.99 TL rose to the level. The new tariff means a price increase of approximately 50 percent for Apple Music users. Apple’s Türkiye page also started to show the new Apple Music fees.

Apple Music’s student subscription was offered for 32.99 TL per month before the price increase. Apple increased the price of this package by 17 TL to 49.99 TL, thus increasing the student subscription by approximately 51.5 percent. While the price of the individual package increased from 59.99 TL to 89.99 TL, the price of the family package increased from 99.99 TL to 149.99 TL. The increase rate in both packages was approximately 50 percent.

The Apple Music family package allows up to six users to benefit from the service, including the person purchasing the subscription. Each user uses their own music archive, recommendations and playlists separately. According to Apple’s official page, the service continues to offer more than 100 million songs, lossless audio, Spatial Audio and offline listening features.

The highest increase in iCloud+ packages is in the 2 TB option

On the iCloud+ side, all paid storage options have become more expensive. 50 GB package from 39.99 TL to 49.99 TL, 200 GB package from 129.99 TL to 169.99 TL, The 2 TB package is priced from 399.99 TL to 549.99 TL. output. These changes correspond to an increase of approximately 25 percent, 31 percent and 37.5 percent, respectively.

Users who need higher storage space were also affected by the increase. Apple increased the monthly fee of the 6 TB package, which was previously 1,299.99 TL. for 1.699 TLthe 12 TB package is 2.499,99 TL. for 3.399 TL carried it. Thus, the 6 TB package became more expensive by approximately 31 percent and the 12 TB package by approximately 36 percent.

Apple’s iCloud+ support page was still showing old prices for Türkiye when we checked. This page includes information about 39.99 TL for 50 GB, 129.99 TL for 200 GB and 399.99 TL for 2 TB. Therefore, we see that Apple has not yet matched the support document with the new tariff.

The price increase does not only cover Türkiye. In the US, Apple increased the Apple Music individual bundle from $10.99 to $11.99, the family bundle from $16.99 to $19.99, and the student bundle from $5.99 to $6.99. The company announced that rising licensing costs were behind the international price increase. While Apple Music sees higher price increases in Türkiye, iCloud+ users face a more significant monthly cost increase, especially for packages of 2 TB and above.
