The market share of the Cupertino-based company was at 40.4 percent in 2022. It can be said that a similar story is repeated for Samsung. The South Korean technology giant maintained its second place, reaching 19 percent market share with 25.6 million tablet shipments. The company’s market share in the previous year was 19.3 percent.

In third place is Lenovo, whose market share decreased from 7.7 percent to 6.9 percent and sold 9.3 million tablets. Huawei ranks fourth with 6.1 percent market share and 8.3 million sales. Amazon completes the top five with 7.7 million sales and 5.8 percent market share.

When compared with the fourth quarter of 2022, growth is seen only on the Lenovo and Huawei side. There is a sales increase of 14.9 percent in Lenovo and 95.4 percent in Huawei. While Apple’s sales decreased by 24 percent, the decrease in Samsung was 10 percent. The loss on the Amazon front reached 43.9 percent.

Apple will renew iPad models in 2024

Canalys’ analysts pointed out that tablet sales are increasing in China and India compared to other parts of the world. Analysts, who expect the tablet market to grow in 2024, also expect foldable tablets to gain a little more importance. Apple seems to play an important role in this recovery by introducing new members of the iPad family.
