Apple brought the leader of the Vision Pro team to the head of Siri

Apple has gone to an important management change in order to reshape its work in the field of artificial intelligence. According to Bloomberg’s news; Mike Rockwell, who managed the development of Apple Vision Pro, was replaced by John Giannandrea, who has long been at the beginning of the company’s artificial intelligence and Siri team. This change is considered as an indication that Apple wants to adopt a more effective strategy in the field of artificial intelligence.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, Giannandrea’nın artificial intelligence work can not manage efficiently because he believes that he decides to change this change. In a statement earlier this month, the company announced that the development process of the productive artificial intelligence features to be integrated into Siri took longer than expected and therefore postponed to 2025. According to Bloomberg, some tensions occurred in Apple due to this delay. In fact, it is claimed that Robby Walker, one of the senior executives of the company, describes the status of artificial intelligence studies as “the pain of deplo” during a meeting.

This restructuring in Apple was not limited to the Siri team. Due to Mike Rockwell’s new task, the Vision Pro team was also a change of leadership. Paule Meade, who managed the Vision Pro Hardware Engineering team, was appointed to the position of Rockwell. This change shows that Apple aims to create a stronger organizational structure in both artificial intelligence and augmented reality.

Planning a deep -rooted change for Apple Siri

Apple was criticized for being behind its competitors such as OpenAI, Google and Microsoft in the field of artificial intelligence. The company was under pressure, especially because it failed to make a great breakthrough in the field of productive artificial intelligence. Although he made great investments to make Siri smarter and more talented, it was remarkable that he progressed more slowly than his competitors. For this reason, Mike Rockwell’s Siri team is interpreted as an indication of Apple’s desire to make a radical change in artificial intelligence strategy.

With this change, Apple is eagerly awaited how to make Siri stronger. The company is expected to make new announcements about Artificial Intelligence and Siri at the WWDC 2025 event in June. Under the leadership of Rockwell, Apple is aimed at developing Siri in accordance with modern artificial intelligence trends and closing the difference between its competitors.
