Former OpenAI employee Jan Leike, who recently joined Anthropic, also plays an important role in the company’s success. Leike, who merged with Anthropic after leaving OpenAI, made a statement during the separation process and criticized that “security culture and processes were left behind in the face of new products.” This is considered an important reference to the understanding of governance and security within OpenAI.

When OpenAI disbanded the “Superalignment” team it had established to address artificial intelligence risks, this caused some concerns within the artificial intelligence community. However, Jan Leike stated that by switching to Anthropic, the company will continue its security and risk-oriented work. This once again emphasizes the importance of a security-focused approach in the development of artificial intelligence.
