Android 16, notification and application synchronization between different brand devices is possible

Google is preparing to close a deficiency that Android users have been demanding for a long time. A new feature called “Handoff olan, which is expected to be introduced with Android 16, will enable application, notification and media synchronization among different Android brands. This development, especially for Samsung users, can seriously convert the transition experience between devices. A structure similar to the continuity and Handoff system offered by Apple for years will finally find its place in the Android world.

The Handoff feature was first noticed by Android Authority. This feature was discovered with the inner vehicle “App Cast ında in the 24.26.31 version of Google Play Services. Samsung’s “Continue on other devices” function is limited only to Galaxy devices, while Handoff will work in harmony with different brands. The basis of this difference is that Handoff will work integrated into Google account.

Android 16 makes it possible to transition between brands with Google account

Thanks to the new system, users will be able to use not only their phones, but also their tablets, watches and other Android devices. For example, the video watched on a phone can be transferred to another Android device instantly. Or the process initiated in an application will be easily maintained from a different device. This will offer a more natural experience in the use of multiple devices.

In terms of Samsung devices, Handoff has an interaction with Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Tab or smart televisions. Users will be able to see the notification they see on one device simultaneously on another device. Moreover, this experience will not only be limited to Samsung; Android devices of different brands such as OnePlus, Xiaomi, Vivo will also benefit from this integration. In this way, the use of a more free and efficient device within the Android ecosystem.

Such a transition system is predicted to be particularly beneficial for media consumption and production. When you need to replace a device while watching a video, users will be able to resume where they left off. The same applies to correspondence and application sessions. Thus, users will be able to maintain their digital experiences without depending on which device they use.

Google’s Handoff system offers a more flexible structure compared to Samsung’s own system, as it works directly to Google account. Instead of being limited to Samsung users with their own devices, it is planned that synchronization is possible on every Android device they log in with Google account. This will provide an independent way of use.

Although Apple offers such an experience in its indoor ecosystem for years, this innovation for the Android side will fill a very critical gap. Because to date, Android users have faced serious restrictions on transitions between devices without brand addiction. With Handoff, these borders will begin to disappear. This change is very meaningful for users who use devices of different brands together.

It is not yet clear when Google will announce this feature. However, Handoff is expected to be officially introduced with Android 16. This announcement is likely to be made at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9th. With the introduction of foldable phones such as Z Fold7 and Z Flip 7 at the event, software integrations are expected to be widely available.

The new generation of Android experience is shaped not only with operating system updates, but also with inter -ecosystems interaction. Handoff is positioned as an important link of this transformation. Thanks to this feature that comes with Android 16, users will no longer be dependent on the brand when connecting between devices. This will make your Android experience both more flexible and more user -friendly.
