Honor is preparing to introduce the new member of the X series, Honor X9e Pro, in Malaysia on September 24. The information on the company’s Malaysian website and promotional content shared on social media show that the phone will focus especially on battery life and durability features. It has already been confirmed that the model will be offered in four different color options: gold, black, brown and purple. Thus, the design and color options of the device are largely clarified before the official launch. Basic details such as processor, screen size, memory options and price will be announced at the launch event.
The design of the Honor X9e Pro places more emphasis on durability than conventional mid-segment models. While some promotional images released by Honor show that the phone has been exposed to hot water, it is emphasized that the device is resistant to harsh usage conditions. Local sources state that the X9e Pro may have water and dust protection features up to IP68, IP69 and IP69K levels. In addition, the body structure that provides additional protection against falls is also mentioned. Whether all of these features are valid for the model that will be available for sale will become clear when Honor publishes the technical features list.
Honor X9e Pro stands out with its 11,000 mAh battery
One of the striking aspects of the phone will be its battery, which is stated to have a capacity of 11,000 mAh. This value is well above the batteries in the range of 5,000 to 6,000 mAh, which are commonly used in mid-segment smartphones today. It is also among the information that Honor X9e Pro will have 80W wired fast charging support. Some sources state that the device can charge other phones and accessories thanks to 27W reverse wired charging support. The large battery capacity may bring some compromises regarding the weight and body thickness of the phone, but for users who prioritize long usage time, this capacity can provide a distinct advantage.
On the camera side, Honor prefers a dual rear camera system. Shared official promotional images confirm that a 108-megapixel sensor will be used in the main camera. It has not yet been announced for what purpose the second rear camera will be used or what the sensor resolution will be. Although it is seen that the second camera generally serves as depth sensing or ultra wide angle in devices in a similar price segment, there is no definitive information on this issue for the Honor X9e Pro. The main determining factors in terms of the phone’s camera performance will include yet-undisclosed details such as sensor size, optical image stabilization support and image processing software.
The first information shared about the screen also points to a very high brightness value. According to some sources based in Malaysia, the screen of the Honor X9e Pro will be able to reach 10,000 nits peak brightness under certain conditions. It seems highly likely that this is a short-term peak value that can be accessed in HDR content or on a limited part of the screen, rather than the full screen brightness that can be used all the time.
