vivo introduced vivo Buds, its new fully wireless headset in its internet of things product line, in India. The company positions the headset at a price of 1,999 rupees, including taxes. The model goes on sale as of September 10 through vivo’s online store, Flipkart and authorized sales points in the country. A release date or price for Türkiye has not been announced yet.
The new headset can play music for up to 12 hours on a single charge. Taking the charging case into account, the total usage time reaches 50 hours. vivo states that a 10-minute charge will provide up to three hours of additional listening time. Although these values may vary depending on the volume level and features used, they place Buds among the models with strong battery life in their price class.
According to vivo’s official announcement, the headset uses 10 mm drivers. Users can adjust the sound according to their preferences via the 10-band equalizer in the vivo Audio application. DeepX 3.0 sound effects, spatial audio and low-latency game mode are also among the supported features.
Bluetooth 6.1 support forms the basis of the connection. While the multi-connection feature makes it easier to switch between two devices, Google Fast Pair shortens the pairing time with Android phones. The artificial intelligence-supported call noise reduction system aims to highlight speech sounds in crowded environments. The IP54 rating of the headphones provides additional protection against sweat and splashes for daily use.
vivo Buds price settles competitively
In fact, the remarkable thing about vivo Buds is its balanced hardware list rather than a single high-end feature. Long battery life, connection to two devices and detailed equalizer support are advantages usually seen in more expensive models. However, the active noise canceling feature is not included in the announcement. Therefore, the model focuses on call clarity and everyday listening rather than suppressing airplane or subway noise.
The company also notes that the spatial audio feature will be available with supported vivo phones. This detail means that phone owners of different brands may not be able to access all functions. Still, the standard Bluetooth connection, equalizer, multi-device support and fast pairing appeal to a wide range of Android users.
vivo had previously gained visibility with its phones in Türkiye. For example, sales of vivo Y29 in Türkiye strengthened the brand’s position in the local market. It is unclear for now whether the Buds will make their way outside India. However, its 50-hour battery life and affordable price show that the headset could be a competitive option if it comes to other markets.
When choosing headphones, it is necessary to look not only at the total time given in the box, but also at the talk time on a single charge. vivo Buds promises up to six hours of use in calls. This value seems sufficient for long meetings. However, microphone quality, wind filtering and ear fit comfort will only become clear through independent tests.
