Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, which is expected to be the top-level model of the Pad 9 series for which Xiaomi is currently preparing, appeared in the Geekbench performance test before its official announcement. The tablet, registered with the model number M367FC, carries Xiaomi’s own developed Xring O3 processor. According to Geekbench 6 results, the device received 3,471 points in the single-core test and 13,229 points in the multi-core test. Especially the result on the multi-core side indicates that Xring O3 can reach a performance level that can compete with high-end mobile processors. The fact that the tested device has 16 GB RAM and runs Android 17 are among other details that show that Pad 9 Pro Max will be positioned in the upper segment.
The Geekbench record also includes information about the processor structure of the Xring O3. Xiaomi’s chip has a total of 10 CPU cores, two of which run at a clock speed of 4.36 GHz. While four cores reach 3.69 GHz, the clock speed of the remaining four cores appears to be 3.15 GHz. This structure points to a design for handling high-performance tasks and longer-running multi-core workloads together. However, it should be noted that synthetic tests such as Geekbench do not alone reveal daily usage performance, power consumption and temperature behavior under long-term load.
Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max stands out with its Xring O3 performance
The resulting results provide one of the first data to compare the Xring O3 with current flagship processors. According to the comparison quoted in the source, the Xring O3 lags slightly behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in Geekbench 6’s single-core test. On the other hand, the multi-core score is approximately 15 to 20 percent higher than Qualcomm’s processor. It seems possible that the ten-core CPU layout will give an advantage to the Xiaomi processor, especially in multi-core tests. However, since the cooling systems, software optimizations and power limits of different devices can affect the performance results, it would not be correct to make a definitive ranking regarding the general usage performance of the two processors based only on these scores.
Pad 9 Pro Max is expected to be the largest model in the series in terms of screen size. According to available information, Xiaomi is preparing the Pad 9 family with three different screen options. While the standard Xiaomi Pad 9 is expected to come with an 11.2-inch screen, a 12.5-inch panel is mentioned for the Pad 9 Pro. Pad 9 Pro Max, at the top of the series, will be especially aimed at users who want a large screen with its 13.3 inch screen. Thus, instead of sticking to a single tablet size, Xiaomi will provide different options, from the standard model that emphasizes portability to the Pro Max, which can offer a working area closer to laptops.
The 13.3-inch screen suggests that Pad 9 Pro Max could be a device that focuses not only on content consumption but also on productivity applications. A larger panel can be a practical advantage in usage scenarios such as split-screen use, keeping multiple applications open at the same time, document editing and pen-supported applications. On the other hand, as the screen grows, factors such as the tablet’s weight and ease of use in the hand become more evident. How long the high multi-core performance of the Xring O3 can be sustained in real use will also depend on the cooling system and power management of the device. Therefore, although the Geekbench result provides a strong first indication, it will be necessary to see the tests of the retail version to evaluate the overall performance of the Pad 9 Pro Max.
Xiaomi has not yet officially announced all the technical specifications of the Pad 9 series and the hardware differences between the models. The Geekbench record shows that at least in the Pro Max model, the 16 GB RAM option and Android 17 were tested. In addition, the use of Xring O3 reveals that Xiaomi has carried its own processor development efforts to the tablet side. How the processor, memory and screen features will differ between Pad 9, Pad 9 Pro and Pad 9 Pro Max will become clear with the official launch.
