As the global market launch of the Redmi Note 17 series, which Xiaomi introduced in China in mid-July, approaches, new information about European prices has been shared. The company, which previously offered the Redmi Note 15 series for sale in international markets, is expected to continue the same approach for the Redmi Note 17 family. According to the latest leak, Redmi Note 17, Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max will be among the models that will be sold in Europe. The prices, especially for the upper models, are significantly higher than the labels in the Chinese market.
According to the information shared by Ytechb, the expected pricing in the European market is listed as follows:
- Note 17 4G (4GB + 128GB): 250 euros
- Redmi Note 17 4G (6GB + 256GB): 300 euros
- Redmi Note 17 5G (6GB + 256GB): 400 euros
- Redmi Note 17 Pro (6GB + 256GB): 500 euros
- Redmi Note 17 Pro Max (8GB + 256GB): 600 euros
It should be noted that these prices have not been confirmed by Xiaomi yet. Despite this, the shared figures indicate that Pro models, in particular, may be offered for sale in Europe at a pricing that pushes the limits of the middle segment.
Some hardware changes are expected in the global version of the Redmi Note 17 series
The leak includes not only price information but also some hardware differences for international versions. Accordingly, the global version of Redmi Note 17 5G may come with a 108-megapixel resolution sensor instead of the 50-megapixel main camera in the model sold in China. Since it is known that Xiaomi has made hardware changes in different markets in the past years, such differences are not considered a surprise.
On the other hand, it is stated that if the technical features of the Note 17 Pro remain largely the same as the model in China, the price level in Europe may cause controversy for users. The model introduced in China has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, an 8-megapixel front camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor accompanying the 50-megapixel main camera. This equipment package may raise questions in terms of price-performance, especially when evaluated together with the possible sales price of 500 euros.
In addition, the device also has some outstanding features. The Note 17 Pro model in China offers a higher battery capacity than many competitors in its segment with its 9,000 mAh battery. While the phone also has a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, the panel comes with 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR peak brightness support reaching 3,500 nits. These features are among the hardware that can provide advantages especially in multimedia consumption and outdoor use.
The global launch date of Xiaomi’s Note 17 series is not yet official. However, leaks regarding European prices suggest that the launch is not far away. Final technical specifications and sales prices will become clear with the company’s international announcement. It will be clear with the official announcement whether additional changes will be made on the hardware side in the European version and whether the prices will be maintained at these levels.
