New leak regarding Galaxy Z Fold 8 reveals many details

New information has emerged about Samsung’s next foldable phone, Galaxy Z Fold 8. The details shared by Ahmed Qwaider, known for his reliable leaks, reveal many technical features of the device, from its screen to its processor, from its camera to its battery. If the shared information turns out to be true, Galaxy Z Fold 8 may be Samsung’s foldable model that offers the fastest wired charging support to date.

According to the leak, the outer screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be 5.5 inches in size. On the inside, there will be a 7.6-inch foldable screen. It is stated that the outer screen will have a 16:10 aspect ratio and the inner screen will have a 4:3 aspect ratio. It is stated that both panels use Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology and support variable refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Thus, it is aimed to provide a fluent image in both daily use and gaming and multimedia experience.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 may come with a lighter body

According to shared measurements, Galaxy Z Fold 8 will have dimensions of 123.9 x 81.9 x 9.7 mm when closed. When opened, the thickness of the device decreases to 4.5 mm, while other dimensions are stated as 123.9 x 161.4 mm. These values indicate that the phone may have a thicker body compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, both in open and closed use.

In addition, it is claimed that the weight of the device will be 201 grams. If this information is confirmed, Galaxy Z Fold 8 may be the lightest model of the Galaxy Z Fold series so far. Lower weight stands out as one of the factors that can increase the comfort of use, especially for users who use the phone in their hands for a long time.

On the camera side, it is stated that Samsung may switch to a dual rear camera setup. According to the leak, the system will include a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/1.9 aperture. In addition, it is stated that the device will carry a separate front camera for both the external screen and the internal screen, and that these cameras will have 10 megapixel resolution and f / 2.2 aperture.

On the performance side, it is claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. While it is stated that the basic model will be offered with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage space, 512 GB and 1 TB storage options are also expected to be available to users. Considering that Samsung has preferred Snapdragon chips specifically optimized for the Galaxy version in its flagship models in recent years, this claim is also compatible with the current strategy.

It is also claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 8, whose battery capacity will be 4,800 mAh, will offer 45 W wired fast charging and 15 W wireless charging support. Especially if 45 W wired charging support is confirmed, this value will be one of the highest wired charging speeds in Samsung’s foldable phone series. With its new model, it seems possible that the company will provide a stronger response to the expectations that users have been expressing for a long time regarding battery performance and charging time.

Samsung has not yet made an official statement regarding the technical specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 8. Therefore, it is necessary to remind that the information shared is not verified by the company. However, considering the accuracy of the leaks shared by Ahmed Qwaider in the past, the technical details that emerge provide strong clues about the final hardware of the device.
