Vivo X Fold 6 comes with a special processor focusing on artificial intelligence performance

Vivo continues to share new information about its new foldable phone X Fold 6, which is expected to be introduced this month. The company, which previously confirmed the OriginOS 6 Fold interface and productivity-oriented software features, has now officially announced the processor platform of the device. According to the announcement, Vivo X Fold 6 will be the first foldable phone powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset.

In a statement made by one of the company executives on Weibo, it was stated that the processor in question is not a standard solution and was developed specifically for foldable devices. According to the information provided by Vivo, Dimensity 9500 Super Edition has been worked on for more than two years. It is stated that the processor is especially optimized for multitasking performance, multi-window use and artificial intelligence operations.

Vivo says that the new chipset is designed to suit the usage scenarios of foldable phones. Accordingly, users will get a more fluid experience when running multiple applications at the same time. In addition, it is stated that multi-window creation and viewing processes will be faster. The company emphasizes that in addition to the increase in performance, improvements have also been made in energy efficiency.

Vivo X Fold 6 will focus on artificial intelligence performance

According to the shared technical data, the artificial intelligence unit in the new generation processor offers remarkable gains compared to the previous generation. Vivo states that peak AI processing performance has increased by 111 percent compared to the previous NPU generation. Despite this, it is stated that power consumption has been reduced by 56 percent. This may contribute to the use of artificial intelligence features running on the device with longer battery life.

In addition, performance increases in offline voice recognition and speech-to-text conversion are also notable. According to the company’s data, these transactions are carried out 7 percent faster. On the text production side, it is stated that a 57 percent acceleration has been achieved. In addition, it is reported that up to 20 percent improvement has been achieved in artificial intelligence-supported reasoning abilities.

It seems that Vivo has recently placed artificial intelligence features at the center of its devices. The data announced for the X Fold 6 also shows that the company focuses especially on productivity and artificial intelligence applications running on the device. Considering the large screen area offered by the foldable phone form, the combined use of multitasking and artificial intelligence features may be one of the prominent aspects of the device.

On the other hand, the information revealed about Vivo X Fold 6 is not limited to the processor only. Previous leaks indicate that the device will carry a large battery with a capacity of 6,900 mAh and will come with an internal screen of approximately 8 inches. If these values are confirmed, the X Fold 6 may be among the noteworthy models in the foldable phone segment in terms of both screen size and battery capacity.

Vivo has not yet announced all the technical specifications of the X Fold 6. Despite this, the information shared so far shows that the company focuses especially on artificial intelligence performance, energy efficiency and multitasking experience in the new model. With the official launch, the processor architecture, camera system and other hardware details of the device will become clear.
