Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been updated with new artificial intelligence features

Samsung has started distributing the June 2026 Android security update for Galaxy Z Fold 7. The update is not only limited to security fixes, but also brings some Galaxy AI features previously introduced with the Galaxy S26 series to the foldable phone. Thus, the company’s new artificial intelligence tools become accessible on more Galaxy devices. The first distribution started in South Korea and the update is expected to reach other markets in the coming period.

Recently, the Galaxy S25 series also received the June 2026 security update. The update in question added three different Galaxy AI features to the devices that were not included in the stable version of One UI 8.5. These were listed as Prioritize Notifications, Summarize Notifications or Notification Highlights and File Summaries. However, only two of these three features are offered in the version released for Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 users can access Notification Prioritization and File Summaries features with the update. Despite this, it appears that the Notification Summaries feature has not been added to Fold 7 at this stage. It is not clear yet whether Samsung will offer this feature with a later software update.

Galaxy AI features make notification and document management easier

The Prioritize Notifications feature aims to show notifications that the user should not miss at the top of the list. Galaxy AI determines which alerts are more important by analyzing notification contents and evaluating various contextual data about the user. Especially for users who receive intense notifications during the day, this system can make critical messages and reminders more visible.

The File Summaries feature further integrates AI-supported content summarization capabilities into the Galaxy ecosystem. Thanks to this tool, documents in PDF and TXT formats can be presented as short summaries. In addition, summaries can be created for recordings in the Voice Recorder application. This feature stands out as one of the time-saving tools for users who want to quickly review long documents or meeting recordings.

Recently, Samsung continues to spread Galaxy AI capabilities to different device categories. The company offers similar artificial intelligence tools not only on flagship phones but also on foldable models and tablets. In addition, productive AI-supported summarization, content editing and personalization functions are becoming more visible parts of the One UI experience.

The June 2026 Android security update released for Galaxy Z Fold 7 carries the firmware version number F966NKSUABZF1. The update is currently rolling out in South Korea. If users in the region have not received the update yet, they can perform a manual check from the Settings > Software Update menu. Considering Samsung’s phased distribution policy, the update is expected to reach Galaxy Z Fold 7 users in other countries in the coming days. This version aims to make the daily use experience of the device more practical with new artificial intelligence-focused functions, as well as security improvements.
