Apple Intelligence can now do more in Safari and Messages

Apple is preparing to more fully integrate Apple Intelligence features into built-in applications in the operating system. The innovations announced by the company as part of WWDC 2026 show that artificial intelligence-supported tools will not only be limited to text creation and editing functions. Safari, Messages and Passwords applications will gain new usage scenarios with Apple Intelligence support. Thus, users will be able to carry out their daily transactions with less manual intervention.

According to Apple’s statement, Safari will be able to monitor certain web pages on behalf of the user and send notifications when a significant change occurs on the page. One of the examples given by the company was that the user would be automatically notified if event or concert tickets went on sale. This feature aims to provide a practical solution for users who have to constantly refresh certain pages. In addition, more details about whether the system can track similar changes on different types of web pages are expected to be shared in the future.

There are also innovations on the Safari side that are not limited to this. The browser is gaining new sorting and grouping options aimed at managing tabs more orderly. Developed especially for users working with a large number of tabs, these tools can help reduce tab clutter. In addition, Apple will allow users to create special extensions for frequently performed operations. Thus, certain tasks can be performed faster and automatically.

Apple Intelligence expands its role in built-in apps

The expansion of Apple Intelligence shows that the company is continuing its approach of placing AI features at the heart of the operating system. Previously announced authoring tools and content creation features focused heavily on productive AI use. New announcements reveal that artificial intelligence has begun to undertake auxiliary functions that facilitate daily workflows. This situation stands out as one of the examples showing that Apple does not limit its artificial intelligence approach only to content production.

On the other hand, Apple announced that it will offer new experiences supported by Apple Intelligence in Passwords and Messages applications. Although the company does not share the details of all the features that will come to these applications, it is stated that artificial intelligence-supported automation and recommendation systems will become more visible. In addition, Apple is expected to continue to run these features largely on the device, maintaining its privacy-focused approach. This approach continues to be one of the elements that differentiates it from competing platforms when it comes to processing user data.

The announced innovations show that Apple Intelligence is no longer just a separate feature package, but has become a layer that spans different parts of the operating system. The page tracking system and new tab management tools in Safari are among the examples that can directly benefit users in their daily internet use. In addition, the new functions coming to the Messages and Passwords applications reveal that Apple aims to bring artificial intelligence tools to a wider area of use. The effects on user experience will be seen more clearly after the new versions are made widely available.
