New information has emerged about the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max model that Oppo is allegedly working on. Last month, Digital Chat Station, a reliable leak source, claimed that the development process of the device may have been postponed or completely canceled. However, new information shared by the same source shows that the project is still ongoing and the device is under development. Thus, the cancellation claims that have come to the fore in recent weeks have largely become invalid.
According to the latest information shared on Weibo, Oppo is testing using a single periscope telephoto camera instead of a dual telephoto camera in the engineering prototypes of the Find X10 Pro Max. The camera in question is expected to have a resolution of 200 megapixels. According to the details provided by the source, large sensor periscope camera solutions with sizes of 1/1.28 inch, 1/1.4 inch and 1/1.56 inch are being evaluated in different prototypes.
In another previous leak, it was stated that Find X10 Pro Max could use the 200-megapixel HPC sensor developed by Samsung. It is stated that this sensor is 1/1.28 inch in size. On the other hand, the 1/1.4 inch and 1/1.56 inch sensors mentioned in the new post are thought to indicate alternative 200 megapixel camera solutions that can be used in the Vivo X500 Pro Max and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max models, respectively.
This information also shows that high-resolution telephoto cameras will become more common in the Android flagship segment. In recent years, manufacturers have been focusing on improving image quality not only in the main camera but also in zoom performance. Thanks to larger sensors, it is aimed to obtain more successful telephoto shots, especially in low light conditions.
Oppo Find X10 Pro Max may offer telephoto macro shooting support
Another detail shared by Digital Chat Station was about the telephoto macro photography feature. Accordingly, all new generation Pro Max models, including the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max, will be able to take macro shots via the periscope camera. Thanks to this technology, users will be able to take detailed close-up photos without getting too close to the objects.
Recently, smartphone manufacturers prefer to use telephoto lenses for macro shooting instead of a separate macro camera. Thus, the image quality increases and the camera placement within the device becomes more efficient. Telephoto macro support has become an increasingly common feature, especially in upper segment models.
According to leaks, the camera system of Oppo Find X10 Pro Max will be quite ambitious. There may be a 200-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor on the back of the device. In addition, it is expected to have a 200-megapixel or 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. If this configuration is realized, the device could be one of the most remarkable flagships of the year in terms of camera hardware.
On the screen side, a 6.89-inch 2K resolution LTPO OLED panel is mentioned. While one of MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 series platforms is expected to be preferred as the processor, a large battery with a capacity of approximately 7000 mAh is also included among the technical specifications. Despite everything, it should not be forgotten that the device is still in the development phase. No official statement has been made by Oppo. Therefore, current information is based on leaks and prototype tests for now. New information that will emerge in the coming period will reveal the final technical features of the Find X10 Pro Max more clearly.
