Honor Magic 9 Pro Max may offer big changes on the video side

New information has emerged about the Magic 9 series, which Honor is expected to introduce in the last quarter of the year. According to leaks; The company will offer three different models in this series: Magic 9, Magic 9 Pro and Magic 9 Pro Max. In particular, the Honor Magic 9 Pro Max model seems to stand out with its camera system and video capabilities. Information from Chinese sources shows that Honor is focusing more on the imaging side in its new flagship.

According to Digital Chat Station, known for its reliable leaks in the industry, Honor is testing two different 200 megapixel main camera sensors on the model using the new generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 platform. It is stated that one of these sensors is 1/1.28 inch and the other is larger, 1/1.12 inch. In addition, it is stated that the device will have a 200 megapixel resolution periscope telephoto camera. It is said that a large sensor of 1/1.4 inch will be used in the telephoto camera in question.

New leaks reveal that Honor has invested heavily not only in photo performance but also in the video side. In previously shared information, it was claimed that the Magic 9 series would come with ARRI-supported imaging technologies. The contribution of ARRI, known for its professional camera and lens systems used in the cinema industry, can offer significant improvements, especially in video recording performance. In addition, improvements are expected in color rendering, dynamic range and low-light performance.

8000 mAh battery claim in the Honor Magic 9 Pro Max model

Other technical features of Magic 9 Pro Max include ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint reader, 3D facial recognition system and high-end stereo speakers. In addition, it is stated that the device will have an advanced water resistance certificate and a renewed X-axis vibration motor. Such hardware can offer stronger feedback, especially during gaming and daily use.

On the screen side, it is stated that a flat OLED panel of around 6.8 inches will be used. It is said that the panel will support 1.5K resolution and use LIPO display technology, which provides thinner frames. In addition to all this, it is claimed that the device will come with a very large battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh. If this capacity is confirmed, Magic 9 Pro Max may be among the models that offer remarkable battery performance in the flagship class. On the software side, it is stated that the Android 17-based MagicOS 11 version will be used.

On the other hand, some information has been shared about the standard model of the series. According to another source called Smart Pikachu, Honor will continue to produce compact screen flagship phones. Despite this, it is stated that the new model will not carry the “Air” brand. Therefore, the device is expected to be offered directly as Honor Magic 9. It is said that the phone will come with a screen of approximately 6.3 inches.

Additional information shared by Digital Chat Station also shows that the standard Magic 9 model will have an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint reader. However, it is stated that the 3D facial recognition feature may remain exclusive to Pro models only. Thus, it appears that Honor will create a more distinct hardware distinction between standard and high-end models.

Honor Magic 9 series is expected to be introduced in China in October. As the launch date approaches, it seems likely that more details about the processor, camera and battery features of the series will emerge.
