Redmi Watch 6 begins its global journey

Redmi Watch 6, which Xiaomi announced in China last November, is now preparing to open to the global market. The smart watch, listed on the company’s global website, attracts attention with its large screen, long battery life and advanced connection features. Redmi Watch 6 has two different versions: with NFC support and without NFC. In addition, the device stands out with its thinner frame and higher brightness screen compared to the previous models of the Redmi Watch series.

Redmi Watch 6 has a 2.07 inch AMOLED screen. Offering a resolution of 432 x 514 pixels, this panel works with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Xiaomi states that the highest brightness value of the screen reaches 2000 nits. This value aims to increase visibility, especially in outdoor use. While the body of the watch has dimensions of 46.45 x 40.03 x 9.94 mm, its weight excluding the strap was announced as 31 grams. Three different color options are offered: black, gray and blue.

The health and exercise side of the device includes most of the standard smartwatch features. Redmi Watch 6 comes with sensors that can monitor heart rate and measure blood oxygen level. In addition, there is also additional equipment such as accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and electronic compass. In addition to all these, the watch can work with GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BeiDou and QZSS systems thanks to its multi-positioning support. This structure aims to offer more precise location tracking, especially during outdoor sports.

Redmi Watch 6 offers long battery life and wide connection support

One of the highlights of Redmi Watch 6 is battery performance. It is stated that the 550 mAh capacity battery used in the watch offers up to 24 days of use on a single charge. Actual usage time may vary depending on preferred features and intensity of use. Despite this, this capacity seems remarkable, especially for users who want to avoid the need for constant charging.

On the connection side, Bluetooth 5.4 support is offered. In addition, the device also has a built-in speaker and microphone. Thus, calls from the connected phone can be made directly via the watch. Redmi Watch 6 also has a water resistance certificate of 5ATM. This value allows the device to be used in daily water contact and basic activities such as swimming. The watch also includes 512 MB of storage space.

The appearance of Redmi Watch 6 on the global website indicates that the device is close to going on sale in different markets. However, Xiaomi has not yet shared pricing and release date details for all regions. Despite this, the large screen, high brightness value and long battery life offered by the device reveal that it can be one of the strong alternatives in the mid-segment smart watch market.
