In contrast, XChat takes messaging outside of the main X application and highlights a new approach that progresses through separate applications in the X ecosystem.

According to information provided by TechCrunch, XChat group chats support joining links. X also highlights sharing and pinning these links in the X feed. Thus, some users on the Communities side can switch directly to XChat during the closure process.

X design leader Benji Taylor said XChat is “just the beginning of what we’re building in the messaging space.” This statement shows that the application will receive new messaging features after the first release. XChat’s launch on iOS also increases expectations for Android and other platforms.
