DJI Avata 360 records the entire scene and leaves the framing to you

Officially introduced in China DJI Avata 360With its dual-sensor 360-degree recording system, it captures the entire scene at once and offers the opportunity to determine the frame after shooting. 8K 60 fps video, 120 MP photo and FPV flight features are combined in a single body.

DJI brings a different approach to the FPV drone category with Avata 360 and directly changes the shooting process. Because the device records the entire scene and thus eliminates the need to choose the angle during shooting. Thus, it becomes possible to produce different angles during the editing phase and a single flight provides more content.

However, the model comes with a dual-lens camera system and each lens uses a 1/1.1 inch square CMOS sensor. The 2.4 micron pixel size helps to obtain clearer images in low light conditions. In this way, more balanced results can be obtained and image quality is preserved, especially in evening shooting.

Looking at the technical details, the device can take photos with up to 120 MP resolution and record 8K 60 fps HDR 360 degree video. In addition, single lens mode comes into play and this mode offers 4K 60 fps video shooting. Thus, when the need for classic shooting arises, this mode can be directly preferred.

DJI Avata 360 recomposes the frame after shooting

At this point, the 360-degree recording approach significantly increases post-shooting flexibility and speeds up the content production process. Because different angles can be obtained during a single flight and each can be used as separate content. This method makes it easier to produce different formats, especially on social media platforms.

On the other hand, DJI includes the O4+ image transfer system in the Avata 360 model, and this system offers 1080p 60 fps live images. The transfer distance can reach 20 kilometers under ideal conditions. Thus, the connection remains stable and the image flow is preserved on long-distance flights.

In addition, the device comes with a versatile obstacle detection system and constantly scans the environment during flight. Additionally, ActiveTrack 360° and Spotlight Free features come into play and moving objects can be easily tracked. These features make control easier, especially in narrow area shooting.

On the practical use side, some details directly affect the daily experience and these details make it easier to use the device in the field. The front lens can be replaced when damaged, reducing maintenance costs. There is also 42 GB internal storage and Wi-Fi 6 support accelerates data transfer.

Considering the flight performance, the device can stay in the air for up to 23 minutes and the total weight is measured at approximately 455 grams. These values offer a balanced use between portability and performance and provide comfortable movement in different scenarios.

DJI introduced the Avata 360 model on March 26 and started the first sales in China. Expansion into global markets is expected to take place in a short time. On the price side, the device is positioned at £409 and €459.
