The truck carrying Samsung’s new foldable phones disappeared in London

Samsung recently released Galaxy Z Flip 7 And Galaxy Z Fold 7 A truck carrying its models was reported to have been stolen in London, the capital of England. The incident took place around the Heathrow Airport and the total value of the stolen devices was about $ 10.6 million.

According to information shared by @universeines, which is one of the reliable sources on social media, there were approximately 6 thousand foldable phones. In the UK Galaxy Z Flip 7 Model 1.149 pounds, Galaxy Z Fold 7 is offered for sale at a price of 1,799 pounds. Considering these prices, the total market value of the stolen products exceeds £ 7.9 million. Although there is no clear information about when the incident took place, it is known that the devices were sold in the UK as of July 25th.

While no official statement is made from the Samsung front, it is estimated that the company contacted local security units. In addition, the stolen phones are blocked via IMEI numbers and focuses on the possibility of closing to sale or use. Such a step can prevent devices from circulating in the land market. However, this process is known to be both time -consuming and technically complex.

Numerical estimates regarding the content of the truck were made at average price per device. There is no explanation as to the exact model distribution or which region it is being sent. Although Samsung is known to apply insurance policy in such product shipments, a loss of this scale is expected to have operational consequences. The UK market has an important place in Samsung’s foldable telephone strategy, and the deterioration of stock balance may affect the distribution chain.

There is no concrete trace about where the truck is currently. It is estimated that local law enforcement officers have initiated an investigation into the incident. Samsung has the opportunity to intervene through remote access to devices. In this way, the removal of Samsung’s service infrastructure with the IMEI numbers of the stolen devices may prevent unauthorized use.

Introduced on July 9 Galaxy Z Flip 7 And Galaxy Z Fold 7It stands out with its thinner and lighter body structure compared to previous models. These models were met with a stronger demand, especially in the European market. The high order volume in the early days when the devices are offered for sale may be directly affected if there is a deduction during the supply process. What kind of measures are taken on the logistics side of the company is not known for the time being.
