4K video period begins in x

The X is working on a new feature to keep content producers on the platform and increase video interaction. Certain content manufacturers can now upload videos to X in 4K resolution. This step seems to be aimed at withdrawing users sliding users to Youtube and Vimeo with video monitoring habits. According to the announcement made by the company’s engineering team, the feature will be presented to all premium subscribers in a short time.

In the past, paid users of X of X could only upload videos of 1080p resolution. The maximum size of these videos was 8 GB and its duration was limited to about three hours. However, with the support of 4K, these technical limitations are expected to be reorganized. Higher resolution requires larger file sizes.

X follows long -term strategy on video

X’s moves on video content have actually been progressing gradually for a long time. The stretching of video loading limits after Elon Musk took over the platform was one of the first indicators of this process. With these developments, it has become possible for content producers to upload longer and comprehensive videos on the platform. Although some limitations still remain valid, the platform tends to increase the video focus.

In addition to all these, X gives signals of a content transformation that is not limited to resolution. The vertical video stream tab, which was added to the home page of the mobile application earlier this year, is one of the examples of this. While Tiktok’s possibility of banning in the US was on the agenda, X took action to take advantage of this gap. With the vertical video experience, especially mobile users were targeted.

However, the increase in video content brings some difficulties in the technical infrastructure of the platform. The large dimensions of 4K video files, bandwidth and server performance are brought to the agenda. It is not yet clear how X will optimize in this regard. Despite this, the company is thought to be preparing for the infrastructure side.

4K support for content producers can make a significant difference. As the visual quality increases, especially the professional content manufacturers may tend to use the platform more. This has the potential to increase both the content quality and the time spent by users on the platform. Nevertheless, the technical limitations that content producers may face in the installation process continue to be a question mark.

In addition, the importance of X’s importance to video content in line with the goal of increasing advertising revenues is expected to grow. Both platform and content producers can earn earnings thanks to the revenue models depending on video monitoring. It is a question of how Youtube has been offered for many years by X. All these developments are the basis of a video content -centered user experience.

X’s video strategy has not yet its final form. However, steps such as 4K support offer clues about the future vision of the platform. Today, such innovations can directly affect the competitiveness of X today, where video production and consumption habits change. This can ensure that the platform is not only a text and visual, but also a medium in which high quality video content is actively presented.
